Amendments in legislation.Amendments to labour legislation signed into law by the President. On 27 November 2018, the President of the Republic of South Africa signed various amendments to labour legislation into law. These amendments have been formally published in the Government Gazette for general information.

The Rule of Law

The Four Universal Principles. The government as well as private actors are accountable under the law. The laws are clear, publicized, stable, and just; are applied evenly; and protect fundamental rights, including the security of persons and property and certain core human rights.

Benefits of the Rule of Law

What is the benefit of rule of law? The rule of law is one of the universal values appreciated the world over. Without the rule of law, we could be victims of arbitrary decisions at the whims of those who wield power, or those who seek an advantage using unscrupulous means, or those who do not know what fair play is. It is for this reason that you challenge abusers of the Rule of Law.

Know the Law

Is legislation as a source of law? It is a source of law in and of itself. The Constitution is the the supreme Law of the Land. Second, the Constitution is a source of law because it creates and allocates power between the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of the government, which are other sources of law. Other sources of law - Legal Precedents, Policy, Directives, Properly Developed Rules, Resolutions of duly constituted statutory forums, Minutes of duly held meetings.

Criminal law -A system of law concerned with the punishment of offenders.
